Bio
The Drive-In Mondays are an acoustic indie trio based in Madison, Alabama. Their repertoire includes original songs and covers of classic and indie rock, with lots of harmony, some slide guitar and harmonica for variety. The Drive-In Mondays have released five original singles to date, the latest being "Love and Strife". They perform regularly at bars, breweries, and festivals in North Alabama.
The members of this trio are Jon Blakely, Ivy Corron, and Johnny Hardin. In recent years, Jon played guitar and sang in retro-rock bands Acoustimotive, Black Tupelo, and Measures of Loud. Prior to that he spent about a decade playing old-time string band music on fiddle and banjo with The Log Cabin String Band and Wolves A' Howlin. Ivy previously played guitar and sang with Measures of Loud. Johnny, a native of Walker County, has played drums since childhood. Johnny's fourth-grade teacher acquired a kit for him when he noticed young Johnny tapping rhythms on his desk with pencils. Johnny joined the group full-time in October 2023.
The Drive-In Mondays bring a less-is-more approach to composing original music and interpreting cover songs. They are currently booking gigs around North Alabama in support of the release of their latest studio recordings. Be sure to sign up on the mailing list to get the latest updates on the group.
